This is one of the longest and psychologically dark romance novels I have ever read.  It had me in tears, literally laughing out loud, and controlled my life for over a month straight. It has over 3000 chapters and each arc is unique and a sadists dream. The way the main characters evolve emotionally inch by inch, steadily getting darker and more fucked up, is like riding a roller coaster for the heart. Even when I come across arcs that don’t seem that interesting, I end up being pleasantly surprised.

The main character is named Bai Wei Wei and she is shameless, intelligent, and when she appears in the target worlds, her emotions get turned off, so she’s a right psychopath. It doesn’t happen overnight, but over the course of years in these target worlds, that she gets messed up and her morality gets thrown out the window. After each arc, she will wake up in her original world after three days of “sleeping”. If she doesn’t want to take a permanent dirt nap she needs to accumulate life, getting a pitiful amount in each world, by making the “protagonist” fall in love with her. Once the main character falls in love, she pretty much chucks him into the trash like a dirty diaper, its purpose complete.

The ML, Ye Yuxuan, is her cold blooded fiancé in the original world. Every time she goes to the target worlds he dreams of being the target protagonist with no other memories until he wakes up again. He doesn’t get his emotions turned off so, when the accumulated fucked up world memories across lifetimes appear, he gets broken. Some of the stuff he thinks, and says, is some of the most heartbreaking things I have ever read.

Darkness aside, this is also a comedy. The way Bai Wei Wei solves problems is absolutely hilarious, and is definitely worth the 3k+ chapters. Its not completely translated, as of this review, 1270 chapters completed, which is pretty damn hefty, and is beautifully done. If you can’t wait, its fairly readable via MTL, although be careful as its difficult to find the NSFW chapters and it usually gets skipped. Also fair warning that while the web-novel is over 3k, it might have been sadly dropped by the original author, Pineapple Cake. Its still worth a read as I believe the journey is worthwhile even if the “ending?” isn’t.
